Well after not hearing a whole lot of good news lately I was pleasantly surprised the other day when I along with a friend of mine who I have filmed and snowboarded with for the last couple years were invited by a few guys from guys from another city approached us with the idea of colaberating  our efforts and all moving to Calgary to make a movie.  Calgary is by far my favorite city to film in.  We went there last year for a week and it was the most fun I have ever had in another city snowboarding and we got so much accomplished.  There will be four of us going and we know some of the guys there too so it should be an awesome time.  It’s still only 8 hours drive from Regina as well so it won’t be hard to come back every month or so to to stop by and visit.

Last night we premiered our snowboard video and it was a huge success!  We sold out completely and there were close to 200 people there.  Everyone seemed really stoked on the video and enjoyed themselves and we gave out tons of free product as well.  Quite a few copies of the video sold and some more today at the shop.  After the ones we gave to the shop to sell there are only about 9 left. The whole thing went over really smoothly and got me really stoked to work at making another better video.   Looks like it will be lots of box riding with hockey snow for the next couple weeks and then once my new camera arrives it will be filming time already.

Hello all, I just wanted to inform you that I have been editing the movie all day and ate a whole bunch of candy in the proccess.

Tonight it is supposed to snow !  It may be very brief but it is definitely a pretty awesome event that means hopefully there will be a nice early winter.  I have been spending the last few weeks editing the video and it is coming along pretty nice.  It’s looking about halfway done right now and the parts that are done are awesome.

Even though pretty much every video is already out we’re still editing and even filming.  Kurtis has gotten within the last month or so like 4 shots for his part.  Filming/photo shoot tomorrow night, hopefully some good stuff.

Went snowboarding the last two nights in a row.  Pretty fun but a little too muddy for my taste.

Yesterday I went snowboarding for the first time since whistler and I must say it was pretty fun.  Wednesday night was super cold so we did quite a few trips from the rink to the spot and got a solid run in and landing.  By the time we were done setting things up it was about 1 am and there are houses right by it so we couldn’t use the generator.  We ended up going home and waking up at 7 and had a super early morning sesh before the summertime heat ruined our plans.  I never ended up getting a shot but my friend got a solid one.  Our time was quite restricted as it got hot fast and before we even noticed it, it was 25 degrees and we had no landing and half a run in.  Next time hopefully we’ll find a good spot away from houses and have a good long session where the snow won’t melt quite so fast.

It only comes once a year so have the best august tenth you can.  Whenever you are about to do something jus imagine august 11th thinking back and saying to yourself “wow, I really should have done (insert specific activity here) yesterday.  Now I have to wait another 364 days until august tenth.
