Season’s Over!
In early January I was night riding with some friends after school. Everything was going great; the park was nice, it wasn’t raining and everyone was having fun. It was almost our last run when on a small flat box I cought my back edge. Unfortunately on my way down I wasn’t able to get a hand down to cushion the fall. Next thing I know all my weight is shifting to my right shoulder and once I hit the snow it changed everything. As soon as I hit I heard a cracking sound and was feeling sharp pain in my right shoulder. Turned out that I fractured my humerus, a bone right below the shoulder. Surgery was needed and soon enough two screws were being drilled into my arm (Literally). They have already been taken out of my arm, but I’m still in a sling and not expecting to ride until next season. Just to let you know life isn’t fun when you can only hear about those perfect, blue bird, sunny and powdery days on the mountain. Anyways here’s some photos from my shortly ended season. (Only thing that’s changed is the color)

October Backyard Snowboarding
This is my backyard October snowboarding sesh. We trucked in snow from a local Ice Hockey Rink and dropped it off in my backyard. With a few intelligent minds we were able to pull this off, watch the video and let me know what you think!

October Surfing In Jersey
This past weekend I was fortunate enough to be down at the Jersey shore. There was some 4-5 ft waves hitting the coast the weekend I went down. A lot of fun after a hard school week. Check it out

Alrighty, this is Mike Anderson and you are checking out his blog (Good Choice). Well I was just Surfing this past weekend in Wildwood, NJ and it was 2-3 ft offshore and there were a lot of funzzies made. I ride a KAOS 6′ 2″ Fish. Just got it this spring and so far I’m LOVING IT! I live and work in Wildwood, NJ for the summers in a condo my parents own. I get to surf pretty much everyday there mixing it in with my work at Sand Jamm Surf Shop on the boardwalk. It’s one of the best jobs considering you meet some of the coolest people and your being around stuff you love. I miss everybody there already considering now I’m back in PA going to school, but that doesn’t matter because it only means that Snowboarding is that much closer.
I was so pumped for the season that I went and bought the new Mack Dawg Video, “Picture This” and wow I don’t think anyone can compare to the filming in that video. It surprised me though because compared to their previous video, “Fallow Me Around,” (which was amazing, hands down one of best videos ever) the parts in, “Picture This,” were 10 times shorter and the tricks seemed real stock. It’s still a leap forward for snowboard films with the camera angles and having it in HD DVD’s for sure. Anyways THINK SNOW! -Mike Anderson
(P.S. Word is Breckenridge got snow already, yeah its true) http://breckenridge.snow.com/winterhome.asp
